How Brands Can Utilize foursquare for Marketing

Today, foursquare announced that brands can easily create a brand page. If you were one of the original 3,000 brands to have a brand page, you know just how difficult it was to use foursquare for marketing. You had to download a spreadsheet, decipher it’s confusing layout, fill it out, email it and then wait and wait and wait. With this much-needed upgrade, brands can simply sign in with Twitter, fill out any relevant profile information and hit save. It is that easy. Create your foursquare brand page today!

New and Improved Profiles on LinkedIn

Today, LinkedIn unveiled its all-new profile. It contains all of the same information as before, but it has created a cleanerversion of the profile page. To update your profile and make sure that it is totally optimized go to your profile page and on the right, you will see a yellow button that says “Start Your Profile Makeover.” A little sticky note will pop up giving you instructions. It will ask you to update your descriptions of each job and add skills to your profile.

You can also download a PDF resume with your summary and work history. This feature has been there a while, but is now more prominent. You can always turn your resume into an infographic with Vizualize.me and make it a bit more exciting.
